Very poor service - we waited 35 min on Saturday without being acknowledged by the waitress and when we asked the male owner at the counter to take things to go, he pretended not to understand and said we had to wait at our table for a waitress that was clearly overwhelmed or unaware. The male owner was extremely unpleasant and and lied to us about the ability of taking the order to go. We will never patronize this restaurant and its disrespectful owners again.Further, although I am bilingual, he pretended not to understand English at all when my family member tried to speak with him in English. I spoke with him in French and he was equally rude.We have been visiting this cafe for over a decade and things have clearly gone downhill as of recently.

Great food. Lots of choices. Very reasonable prices. Friendly service. And awesome atmosphere (especially one a nice day when you can sit on the patio).

We went there for breakfast and smoothies.A great little rustic café with great food. The presentation is beautiful. My laté was layered in a glass mug. Looked (and tasted) great.The service is friendly. The owner has a good sense of humour and you can find humorous little signs all over the restaurant and terrace. Great for a good laugh.If you ask for wifi, you will kindly receive a suggestion to talk to your friends, the staff or enjoy the views.

It’s my favorite place when I am in the region. The breakfast is so yummy. Tried many dishes. Portions are generous. The jam tastes fresh. The ambience is cozy & homey with Personal touch.

A very nice little cafe with friendly service and a great play area for kids. I had a tasty panini and the hot chocolate I ordered was excellent.

Outstanding breakfast, excellent service and a charming deck overlooking the village. Right off the Petit Train du Nord so super convenient for bikers. Highly recommend!

Everything is wonderful about Charming Val David. This little coffee shop has a very pleasant vibe, a can-do attitude, and the shortbread cookie with chocolate jam was spectacular. I took my sandwich and iced coffee to go and although it took a little time was worth the wait.

Awesome place. Down to earth and yet fancy food. Good variety. Quick and pleasant staff. Small unique touches add to the atmosphere. Very impressed. When everywhere else was closed they were open for the tourists which is what the area is based on. Kudos to the owner.

I had such a great experience here. Food was amazing, well presented and had a nice unique twist on the classic breakfast dishes. The restaurant its self has a nice, chill vibe to it and you can sit out on the deck to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful Val-David

I’ve been here a couple times over the past few years. I learned on my last trip that the management has changed. The new menu, the food, the customer service - everything is amazing!FOOD: We tried a few of the items and everything was absolutely delicious. Especially the cassolette, the veggie burger and the spiced hot chocolate.SERVICE: there was a wait when we arrived but they let us wait in the kids playroom in the back and were super nice. We got a table fairly quick. The owner was also present and she was really friendly.KID FRIENDLY! ok this was the best part - there is a kids playroom in the back with some great toys! However, the resto itself was so busy, I can’t imagine how it would be to squeeze a high chair on one of the tables... but I’m sure if it’s a little less crowded it’s totally do-able. I’ll hafta come back with my son to test this out.

Lovely cafe with great , friendly service! Food is delicious and beautiful presentation. Great vegetarian options- their vegetable soup was delicious and sandwiches are all home made. Nice selection of deserts and are good quality.Very good coffee and I am picky as most places have chicory coffee and here it’s nice and smooth. I look forward to coming back. The patio is cozy with a nice view of the trail and town. The care and attention of the team is really really warm and easy. Highly recommend to visit!

Absolutely wonderful dining experience!The food choices are creative, healthy, beautifully presented in a very warm and cozy cottage-like environment. We ate lunch one day and then brunch the next day. Both visits left us feeling uplifted from the kind and gentle hospitality of the servers. The food is made with love. And, you can taste it. I highly recommend that anyone visiting Val David makes a stop at this restaurant. French and English is spoken here.

I've gone here quite a few times. The brunch is great. The coffee is good. The outside space is amazing in the sun.

Cozy cafe with a good selection of tasty breakfast and lunch style dishes. If it wasn't for the slow service and the little piece of plastic I found in my soup I would have rated it higher.

This coffee shop is just amazing. I had breakfast with my boyfriend and it surprised me a lot. I got a cassarole (poché egg, cream, cheese, bacon and mushrooms ) and it was super tasty. They served bread, a mini smoothie, potatoes and two kind of jam with the cassarole and I enjoyed every single part of my breakfast. My bf got omelette and it also comes with the same bread and potatoes. Can't wait to come again soon. Great spot for who is biking around val david. They have many pastries (I still did not try it) but looks really good.

******EDIT *****Went back today, we couldn't get food from the kitchen because everyone was on break! We asked how long it would be and the girl at the counter said "no idea"! Seriously! Good sandwiches, smoothies and salads. Few interesting vegan choices. All smoothies are vegan. The terrace is great.

This place is wonderful. They were so patient when our large group came in and ordered. Food arrived quickly, was fresh and tasty. I would definitely return here.

The onion soup was great. The only down side was the number of fly's hanging around inside.

I love the quaint feel of this place, the food is delicious and the coffee so tasty. They also have a wonderful separate room just for kids filled with a variety of toys. A must if you're in the area.

This is a very friendly little cafe with very good food. I had the surprise salad and it was plenty, very fresh,... just say what you want.It's kid friendly and there's a little ply corner. Awesome!
